Dr. Mahmoud Wagih is a Reader at the University of Glasgow and his current research is in sustainable electronics applications in RF/microwave. He is particularly interested in effective and inclusive research communication, and in creating commercial and social impact from research.

Prof. Nuria Garcia-Araez

Prof. Nuria Garcia-Araez is an electrochemist with a background in fundamental electrochemistry and in-situ characterization techniques. Her current research interest is the development of the next generation of rechargeable batteries and new methods of lithium production and recycling.

Dr Marie O’Mahony

Dr Marie O’Mahony is Programme Leader for the MSc E-textiles and Wearable Technologies with Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. In addition to her role in academia that spans universities in Canada, Australia, Ireland and UK, Marie has worked as a consultant in industry and brings research interests that include design, e-textiles, wearables, printed electronics and sustainability. Marie is a member of the E-textile Innovation Lab and has published 5 books with Thames and Hudson.

Dr Russel Torah

Dr Russel Torah is an Associate Professor in the Smart Electronic Materials and Systems (SEMS) Research group. His work is primarily focused on the development and fabrication of smart textiles. He is a co-founder and director of the Smart Fabric Inks Ltd spin-out company based on his research on smart textiles.

Prof. Kai Yang

Prof. Kai Yang is a Professor of E-textiles in Healthcare at the Winchester School of Art (WSA), University of Southampton. Her research interests are in e-textile materials and manufacturing, wearable healthcare/medical devices (e.g. stroke rehabilitation, pain management, health monitoring), and sustainable textiles/e-textiles.

Prof. Ian Williams
University of Southampton
Prof. Ian Williams is a Professor of Applied Environmental Science in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton. His work has focused on pollution, sustainability, waste- and carbon-related issues. He has published extensively in books and peer-reviewed journals as well as producing over 100 commercial project reports.
